Shimano Curado

It can handle the smallest lures and the biggest swimbaits. Almost everyone carries them and there is a high resale value. If you do decide to modify them or send them out or maintenance, there is an abundance of online shops that will take care of you...

On top of that - Shimano's customer service is top notch!

i have 4x Shimano Curado 301DSV reels & 1x Shimano 201DSV. i have modified each and every Curado i have. i have upgraded the drag and the bearings.

couple more things i can add:
- low profile reel with tons of line capacity
- highly sought after in the resale market
- ample drag system should you choose to chase pike / muskie / stripers

im sure with the proper settings and adjustments it can handle the light lures, but i cannot attest to that. i tend to use the bigger stuff. one thing that will also come into play with the lighter stuff, will be the rod and its length.
