Basically just stopped by but wound up casting a mini-mite jig a few dozen times with no results.

Only some skim ice around the island and in the northern end of the lake. Ice is paper thin and small rocks went right through.

Another angler was out and caught a few bluegill with wax worms.

Conditions like this are kinda rare and strange. The lake and its ecosystem are in full winter mode. Don't expext "ice-out" conditions when this occurs. The best way to catch fish in these conditions is live bait under a bobber or a small jig under a slip bobber.
