stopped by beck yesterday to check up on the ice. well, it's still there and plenty of it. it's geese city on the island. the squawking is thunderous. i can't even imagine all the geese crap that's going to melt into the lake with the ice. maybe it'll be good for the lake who knows.

there was someone actually ice fishing too on the northwest corner of the island.

I walked around Lake Glenview yesterday and let's just say that although there was ice you couldn't pay me to step onto it. It looked pretty rotten. I would have to think that by the weekend there is going to be a lot of open water around.

The water was about 54 at the WWD this winter when it was 13 out. by May it's got to be in close to the 70's ..By July and August...a pure bath tub..The bass will move out and back down the salt creek I would think. It would be very cool to track a big bass or 2 to see where he goes

I think it would be worth a shot to fish that creek later in the year by all the bends and log jams and fallen trees :)

pure bath tub? lol, that's terrible. but we have some many other better choices everywhere then.
