Temps in the low 60's; overcast with very ominious skies; no wind (at first), then rained like hell. Fished from 5pm-5:15pm.

Big storms were in northern Cook County but I was hoping they would stay north. No such luck. Got off about a dozen casts with a crank bait from the parking lot to just past the inlet. Then it started to get really ugly. Another angler was getting out of there too and it was toothdoc. As we hustled to the shore he hadn't had any luck either but did report seeing several fish surfacing.

Got back to the cars just in time!

I met up with Jason on my way back to my car. I fished for a little over an hour and got the skunk. Threw a spinnerbait, a crankbait and a jerkbait. I did see some fish surfacing on the north end of the lake right before the storm hit. It felt good to get out and throw some lures today though.
