Checked out Beck at various times in past 4 Days.Took Crappie and a giant Northen Pike from athe North end on Saturday early.Crappie were a good size.Northern about 6.5 lbs.Very slow on Sunday and Monday,during the day.One place that was hot;I was told,was the South end where someone kept 50+ Crappie.The spot was occupied all day long.From past years,it should be just a few days more for more action on the North end.Looking for a little fresh vegetation and algea.Trying elsewhere tomorrow. Sounds like a nice northern. I have heard similar reports of a guy that can catch crappie like crazy on Big Bend too. Not sure if there is any truth to it.

I heard of a real big northern caught last week at beck, i think it was reported 37". I also heard it was kept, what a shame to kill such a nice fish from such a small fishery, i hope what i heard wasn't true, but it did come from a reliable source. The guy that told me about it was there crappie fishing, he had a good day as well.
