The Mud Puppy,was using these 45 years ago,when you had a fish on the treble hook came off the lure,you would pick up the lure after landing a fish,the idea was when a large fish jumped the lure helped pulling the hooks hook ,fishing Cedar Lake on the Turtle Flowage,had a Muskie on,body separated,landed my fish,looking for the lure,saw it with 3 other Muskie poking at it.The smaller one I am rebuilding, have to make a new tail and air brush The Whopper Plopper is nothing new.
