I worked the east end of the lake and managed 2 nice rainbows and a dink bass on 3-4 inch pieces of crawlers. With my other rod, I threw every inline spinner and spoon in the tackle box to no avail. I even tried the mini sized Rat-L Traps. The guy next to me had no hits on red worms or wax worms, and caught 3 nice trout on a plain golden spoon (identical to one I used). Go figure. I tried spawn sacs and Berkley bait, but those seem to work better at Axehead. Gaging from how full the parking lot was, a lot of other people took fishing related sick days
Welcome to WCF! Thanks for the report. Good to hear trout are still being caught. Now if the weather would cooperate I just may head out to Belleau this week.
No need for intro guys(thanks though). I used to use the RobBull handle and can't reset the password. Switched jobs and between the job search and workload at the new job, I haven't had a chance to post. Nice to see we have some new members at WCF!
Augy, at the trout opener at Axehead, someone actually mistook me for you. We've never actually met, but I'm a beer-bellied Polish guy, so it's easy to see how someone could mistake the two of us
