Lake Uchi Ontario Walleye, late June, 28", jig/minnow

Lake Uchi Ontario Pike, late June, 37", J-9 pike pattern (huge topwater explosion!)

 

This was my largest of the many smallies from this year and the best fighting. Those are some great fish out there guys!

not a big one but a great place to fish in South Haven Michigan

 

I'm actually planning on starting a topic after Christmas where we can all "re-cap" our 2007 fishing season. When that happens we can all show off some more pics and talk about our 2007 season in more detail.

In the meantime, I think the one fish (and there were only a few), that really got the heart going was this 18" smallie from the Fox River. I wish the pic did it more justice, but DAMN was she fun to catch!

And... I'm not done yet!

Beautiful fish to everyone that posted here. Sadly I don't have anything that would come close to any of these. I'm really digging Andrews first pic, it's a really good picture, the colors are awesome, and it almost looks like a postcard. Maybe next year I'll be able to post my trophy. :shock: :wink:

This is not my best fish, but definitly the fish I am most proud of. I caught this out of the Waupaca Chain O' Lakes in central WI. I have been fishing there since I was old enough to walk and had only caught one small eye there, which was in 2006. The water base is marl. which makes the lakes crystal clear. Most of all the lakes are also very deep, with max depths anywhere from 60-90 feet. We were always amazed that we never caught them as we often would fish in 30-40 feet of water for the smallmouth and largemouth. This year I decided to sit on a sunken island at night and work the steep edges of it. I tried it 4 different times. The first trip I ended up with an 18''. The second and third trip was nothing but bass and a few lost fish. The 4th and final trip finally payed off. The effort put in made this worthwhile.

 

This was my biggest LMB that I caught in late April.

This smallie was caught in early May. I caught one bigger, but don't have a picture of it.

And this northern I caught up in Canada in early June.

35.5 inches

I have had a great year of fishing. The best ever actually and it's not over .

 

Well here's my biggest Fish of the year. Out at Deep in a Tourny no other way to catch your biggest of the year...LOL I think she weigh 4# 13 ounces
