Has anyone ever heard of the state Park Big Bend? This old timer at work said he used to fish it when he was younger, and said it was an awesome spot. Just wondering if anyone has had the pleasure of trying it. Also, this is going to sound like a dumb question, but what the hell is a bucket fisherman? I've seen them, mainly at lake michigan harbors but never stopped to watch what they do.

I have never heard of the Big Bend state park, only the Forest Preserve lake with the same name.

A bucket fisherman is those guys that you see with the buckets and they basically put everything that they catch into the bucket and take it home to eat. :x It doesn't matter if it is of legal size or not. Usually when confronted they claim to not speak English very well.

A bucket fisherman is usually a low tech, uneducated fisherman who usually keeps all the fish they catch. That's why most of us on here don't like them. Many do not respect the areas they fish in and leave trash and take fish they shouldn't be taking. They also typically have a bucket with them in which to throw said fish.
