After reading a braided post a couple of days ago I decided to go back to braid. First time on my baitcaster and I have to admit it casts like a dream. Bouncing cranks and ratl's is like a new adventure. Truely way cool. Downside?, I haven't caught anything. Cold front? or do i need to use a leader? And if thats the case doesn't that just defeat the strength of the braid, i.e. only as strong as the weakest link? Do you guys just tie the cranks to the braided?

The fish wont see the line on your crankbaits. The only thing is when you do get a bite youll have to take it easy on the hookset since the line is taught and braid doesnt stretch.
