I fished today for close to three hours and caught 1 small striper, 1 small perch and about 8-10 bluegills, all released. I never caught perch at Busse before - so that's the first. It was very windy...

the striper was a yellow bass unless you fished in the creek...there is no stripers or perch in busse, the perch was probably a walleye :wink:

Thank you for the reply. I've been prone to making a few mistake when trying to identify the species. The "walleye" was very small - about 4 inches, and somewhat similar to perch in appearance. I was wondering if you have any pictures to post of rock bass, white bass, yellow bass and sauger just to help with identifying in a future. Thanks.

Here's a site that has tons of fish id's. just click the name of the fish for a picture. on a side note, the walleye is in the perch family and can look very similar to a perch when very young. enjoy the site and get out and catch more fish!!!!

actually, there are perch in busse. i've caught a couple dinks last year.
