Is Lake Glenview still C&R??

No matter the language barrier, this happens all too often everywhere. Here's the thing... the Glenview police make regular rounds at Lake Glenview and WILL bust people. It's a good idea to try and let them know about the regulations when you see that.

The gentlemen that had the bass on the stringer on the north end of Lake Glenview were told that they had to release the bass. They did so and left soon afterward. The cop that used to patrol the lake last year is now retired. I have called the city and asked them to have someone start checking the place. I fish the place almost every day and spend alot of time picking up line and other crap that some folks leave behind. They should have a carp derby or something to try and remove some of the carp. The bass seem to be off the beds and putting on the feed bag. I beleive it is everyones job to help police the rules, comments.

come on now, let's not blame any specific ethnicity group when we seem to encounter them not obeying our fishing laws. lets be real, don't you think there are way more "white american" bucket fishermen breaking even more poaching laws that we don't see. nobody seems to be specific about their race, so why is it always, them mexicans, or them asians or them so and so.

let's keep WCF clean of finger pointing and for all races and groups to enjoy and share in our sport.

Yes the 'white american' bucket guys are probably more numerous, but again, probably a language barrier (eastern europeans are technically 'white guys' too), which should not be assumed to be a racial thing, that's an unfair call to make that sidesteps the language issue and makes it a race issue, which it isn't. Though it probably is a cultural issue, which is hard to argue for or against by either 'side' IMHO. Perhaps the reality is that signs must be posted in English, Spanish, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Polish, German, Russian, French, Italian, you get the picture, it's unreasonable. If its in English and you still break the law you still have broken the law. A friendly 'hey, you're breaking the law' would hopefully suffice but may or may not. The rules and regs are each of our own personal responsibility to find out and not assume regardless of language or ethnicity, 'cause you know what Felix said about assuming?!?! (Odd Couple reference for those who are a wee bit younger :D ) Anyway, 'can't we all just get along?'
