Spoke at length with Cook County Forest Preserve District Fisheries Biologist Jim Phillips at the Rosemont show. He was kind enough to share with me this 2006 stocking report. I've been trying to track down some CCFPD stocking information for some time now and getting this was like opening a big present on Christmas morning. Here is partial list.

(type of fish/number of fish/size of fish)

Axehead Lake
Smallmouth Bass/1750/2 inch average

Beck Lake
Northern Pike/114/8 inch average

Belleau
Smallmouth Bass/1250/2 inch average

Busse Main Pool
Walleye/11,518/fingerlings
Northern Pike/1000/8 inch average
Channel Catfish/3573/6-8 inch average

Busse South Pool
(exact same numbers as Busse Main)

Skokie Lagoons
Walleye/9000/fingerlings
Northern Pike/1300/8 inch average
Channel Catfish/2802/6-8 inch average

Can you send me that list??

PM or email?

Thanks!

I'm interested in all, but mainly the southern & sw cook lakes.

Wow pike in Beck!!!! Have they ever stocked pike in there before? Also, are the stocking numbers similar every year? (It seems like they stock a ton)

Skokie Lagoon; 9000 Walleye !!

There have been Northern stocked in Beck before. I don't know the last time that they stocked these bodies of water, but I doubt that they stock that many fish every year.
