Made it on the ice late this morning. Went back to the spot I have been getting the whites. As I was following my GPS coordinates I notice someone was fishing there already . I walked up to him and asked if he was doing any good. His reply was a few there and here. I'm like ya right. So i drilled a hole behind him about 30-40 ft away put the vex down and there was nothing. To lazy to drill another hole so I camped out and started to jig. Within a few minutes of jigging I notice some green flicking on the vex telling something is near and before you know it the vex looked like Chirstmas lights. :D :D . That pretty much explains how the fishing went. Pimples W/ spikes was the ticket again 20ft FOW.
I'm been getting the whites at Piskatee and Marie. Most of them on Marie.

Hey Legend, that's a great report and photos.

Just curious, are the white bass any good eating? They kind of look like baby stripers to me...not sure.
Yes very good. The whites range from 10-14 inches. I wear a size 12 so you can compare it to my boot. They are consider a member of the panfish family. The meat is very sweet. This is how I cook them. The fish is completely gutted and scaled. Then the fish is steamed in a wok with giner, green onions and serloncho. On the side I have a sauce prep with soy sauce, sesaimee oil, and some suger all mixed in a cup. Once the fish is completely cooked. The fish is brought out of the wok and the sauce is poured on top. Have a bowl of rice and man is it good. This is my mom's recipe. She owned a Chinese resturant for 20 years and now is retired.
