Day 71 straight And not looking back I went towards carp. Excited and really pumped to get out We arrive and bait and maybe 10 minutes later the fish started pouring in :mrgreen: The Biggest one today I didn't get a measurement Or weight but it definitely was a very hefty lean mean Carp! with an 8 minute fight on 6lb test the current definitely Working on his side. My arms were soar. :lol: I caught 4 total all being hooked in the top lip. (Which means I set the hook on every fish :mrgreen: )

I Also hit "THE POND" Threw rattle traps, Jigs, jig n pig, spinner baits, Swimbaits..grubs.

and the kitchen Sink!!

Spoke to two younger guys they said they snagged a shad out yesterday.. So at least we know there at least getting active :mrgreen:

no ice on the pond at all. but the waters definitely up, Still fish able though :mrgreen: Water was murky. but That's the way i've always seen it when I was there.

I Can fish carp everyday! As fun as they are I don't mind. I'll be on the bass soon, As will everyone else.

Some bass are always 'active'....it's weather you can catch them..at least
thats what the pros say.....lol

If you check the tournamets results .... even on the worst days there are many bass caught :wink: ....just have to figure it out.... so I think you have some work to do

Well I just can't find them, if I had the equipment the Pros have I'd definitely catch them

But I'm just a Local passionate shore angler and not even close to a pro, So I have an excuse :wink:

Funny, I snagged probably 2 carp that big if not bigger last year at a pond. But both snapped off close to shore. What do you do with those carp George? Release em or kill em off?

I used to go carp fishing in the rivers when I was in high school and it was a lot of fun when the bass were not biting for whatever reason. But, now I guess I'd rather get skunked bassing than carp fishing.

I'll give you credit for going out in that awful weather yesterday.
