Augy and I were literally the only ones out for most of the day (we stayed out until 4, I'm still pooped).

I got unskunked but that's about it.

Augy got 3, 4, I don't recall but he's has something on film he'd like for all you to see.

C'mon Aug, bring it.

Sorry for the late report!

Fished from 6am to 5pm on Saturday. That's right, 11 pure hours of bassin heaven. Yup, we were the only one out to about 8am. rain stayed away and it was a nice and cool overcast in the low 70's all day!

anyway, the fishing was decent. john caught 1 nice 3lber on a white berkley sinking minnow (John's first lure purchase) in the southeast corner.

i ended up with a total 4 or 5 bass. a couple dinks, a couple 2lbers and probably my biggest bass out of deep this season. it looked about 19-20 inches. no scale and no tape!

we caught 2 of the big fish on video. rockfish inspired!!! capturing your fishing on video is so badass and i'm not sure why i didn't utilize my video feature on my digital camera before. i'll be doing much more video in the future.

anyway, hope you guys enjoy the vids.

Thanks for the videos Augy. That was a nice bass. Now just catch it again this Saturday.
doc, i've been doing a lot of scoutin the past few weeks and i know the location of three 4-5lbers. 1 of which i caught on that video and 1 other that i hooked into but lost. sure hope they are still there.

what phase do you guys think the bass at deep will be in this weekend. it's looked to me like they are in the last leg of post-spawn.

Nice fish guys - looking forward to getting up to Deep Lake sometime.

Getting the catch on video is great, even funnier when the guy with the camera doesn't realize that he has it on video mode, not picture mode.

Couple years ago some friends and I went trolling out of Cape May, NJ and got into a bunch of small tuna - we hooked into four in about a 2 minute timespan, one of the most fun days I ever had fishing - and some of the stuff captured on here is priceless - including people arguing in the background as to whose fish was bigger and my buddy panicking when he almost lost his beer over the side.

(Now, if I could only replicate a sequence like that with some nice bucketmouths...)
