I'm out. Gotta work this Saturday. The weather shows a high of 74 degrees with an isolated thunderstorm.

I might be in as well, but just like Augy I have to get clearance Clarence. Roger Roger. Unfortunately I haven't met any of you so I pity whoever might get stuck with me in a boat. I have been wearing the stench of skunk more often than not recently. I also have never fished Deep Lake before although I planned to go a few times this year to see what all the buzz was about.

that's what these outings are all about CW. it's intimidating to try to fish a new body of water and these outings are one of the best ways to learn a new lake and fish with a bunch of other people.

these outings are a blast and everyone is welcome. it's always so cool to meet our members face to face.

Looks like I am a go thanks to my much better, very understanding half!! I will have to figure out how to get there, but it shouldn't be too hard. What do you all typically bring with you on these trips? Do you stay out on the water all day or do you come back in at some point before going back out? Sorry for the questions, but I haven't been to Deep so I just want to be prepared. Thanks and I'll see you up there bright and early. Planning on a 5:00 a.m. arrival? It will be nice to finally meet some more WCF members.

deep comes alive at dawn! morning bite can be sensational! topwaters are a blast at deep when it's on. earlier the better and 5am sounds good. i don't think stosh will be up any sooner.

some stay longer than others. usually we pack up between 12-2pm. it all depends on the bite.

we'll arrange partners by friday evening. boat rentals are $15 a day and $40 w/ motor. Spit rental fees with partner.

many members have small gas and trolley motors they bring themselves. we can make arrangements so that guys with motors/trolley fish with guys that don't.

i'm not sure who's all in yet but we should be able to pair up by friday evening with more guys jumping aboard.

deep should be coming alive right about now. the warm temps should be popping these fish on like a light switch. plooop! i hope!!!!!! fingers crossed!!! :wink:

Looks like the weather might be cloudy with a slight chance of rain. What kind of water are we looking at here? Is it a really clear lake, because based on cloudy weather I want to make sure I have the right lures for the water conditions. Or does it just not matter at Deep because the fish will bite anything??? I HOPE!!!

pez, verify your trolley situation and let us know. if you don't have a trolley, maybe one of the other guys has one to bring.

Dean, i think you should probably hook up with pezdek since it's his first time and he has the motors. jason could probably hook up with tony to combine their motors. that way each boat has gas and trolley.

danno and clancy can jump aboard with me and mike.

we can meet up at my house if you guys want so that we can carpool or caravan up there together.
