Laucnhed from jack and lydias around 730. worked the sandbar and the north bay all morning. I got two bass. One on a nightcrawler about ten inches in the north bay. The second caught on the sandbar on a rapala xrap shad. Its was aboyt 15inches. After that i worked the northbay a few more times. And a HUGE northern hit my gulp alive in the shallows. I saw it hit it. I was using a 4inch minnow on a jig head.

The northern was at least 35inches. After lunch and a break we worked the middle of the lake. Hoping for a walleye bass or pike. I used gulp alive and got 1 bump. Then fished the southeast corner for about 2hrs and got nothing. Its was a nice day even in the rain.

I did see a few top water strikes in the weeds.

Questions

are their walleye in deep lake.

I think the walleye population is quite small there, but there are definitely walleye in Deep Lake. I have only heard of a few fish being caught in the last few years.

There are a few walleyes there, but it is best for bass.
