Headed out to Deep Lake for the first time today, and unfortunately got skunked. We tried everything we had from live to fake and nothing seemed to work. I saw a person take three bluegill and that's about all. Nevertheless had a lot of fun.

Don`t give up on it ,it`s a wonderful lake and a good little bass fishery

Deep Lake can be hit or miss, it took me until my third trip until I hooked up with some good fish. Better luck next time

Yup...But when there hitting ...it's wounderful thing...
you will catch some quality fish there. Check out the tournament
results from May 12th. They got 50+ bass that day. The year before I think it was like 5 .....WCF outing last year produced 35 bass.

They are there for sure don't give up on this great little gem of a lake :lol:

it's the perfect lake for guys who don't own boats. not too big, not too small and yes, there are some quality bass in there. you'll get em next time. you should try and come out to one of our many outings at deep. probably next sat.

Like the others have said, it is a great lake that is close to home for big bass. It might take you a couple of times to figure the lake out, but whatever you do, don't give up on it yet.
