Got out to Defiance Lake for the first time in about 15 years. Still a wonderfully quiet and calm place. Unfortunately, the fishing today was really tough. The rapid decline in temperatures really knocked them down. I had 6 hits on a black buzzbait, but couldn't hook up with any of them. Even with the trailer hook added I couldn't get them. :evil: I did end up with 2 smallish northern pike.....a 15" and a 21". Both were caught on a black and orange spinner. I was hoping for more, but there will be better days. Really looking forward to fishing this lake a few more times this year.

Glad to hear you got some pike. They can be more fun to land than the bass sometimes.

Thanks for report keep them coming dont get to fish that lake as much as i should. What time did you get on the water

Got a little later start than I wanted to so didn't get on the water until about 7:30am or so. Left at about 12:30 so I got 5 hours out there. Planning on getting back there on Friday first thing in the morning to see if I can do any better.
