Got out to Defiance Lake for the first time in about 15 years. Still a wonderfully quiet and calm place. Unfortunately, the fishing today was really tough. The rapid decline in temperatures really knocked them down. I had 6 hits on a black buzzbait, but couldn't hook up with any of them. Even with the trailer hook added I couldn't get them. I did end up with 2 smallish northern pike.....a 15" and a 21". Both were caught on a black and orange spinner. I was hoping for more, but there will be better days. Really looking forward to fishing this lake a few more times this year. :D

Got a little later start than I wanted to so didn't get on the water until about 7:30am or so. Left at about 12:30 so I got 5 hours out there. Planning on getting back there on Friday first thing in the morning to see if I can do any better.
