With my annual 2 week July vacation coming to an end, here is the fishing recap. I was up at the Waupaca Chain O Lakes for a week, then at home for the next week instead of doing another Door County trip. I ended going up to Delavan for a few morning trips this week, which was a nice change of pace. I am still concentrating on the walleyes wherever I go. The chain held some nice eye surprises this year. After only seeing about 1 a year in the boat the last several years, I got at least 1 every time out this time around. The eyes on Delavan were a nice suprise too. Although I released them, I had a fishing first of 3 legal walleyes on first 3 casts of the day. Does not get much better then that.
