I hit a few river spots today.

So I setup my little tripod for some pictures and the little brat must have messed with my settings this morning, I don't have snapchat or any other silly photo apps on this phone. I was pissed off and laughing at the same time with my first fish today and my new look.

Anyway I got a few musky today, nothing big but still fun. On on 4" tubes and one on 4" swimjig in the usual types of fast waters I fish closed the deal. To be honest the smallies fought harder than the skis today with the same rod and stretched out the spinnerbaits both times.

I don't know how these photos will attach from my phone with upside down, etc... but as Bill O'Reilly once yelled "F#@k it we'll do it live!" Sorry for the crappy pictures but that's par for the course for me and wanting to get skis back quickly.

Man Mike, I gotta be honest...I'm kinda liking the bunny filter photos of you better than the real thing ;) Is it me or are the smallies you catch up there built more like big shouldered lake smallies Vs traditional river run smallies, that are usually longer and sleeker? Idk, they just always look like big mean brutes...in the best possible way

I honestly don't know but the rivers and some of the lakes up here are loaded with crawfish maybe that packs on the weight well. I catch my share of dink smallies as well that never make it to a post. Their's only one inland lake I fish in the area for smallies and they can get larger and fatter. I have very limited experience fishing for smallies outside of the north woods.
