Nice fish Mike you seem to be doing well for Pike this year.AS far as the Yotes go there may have been no attacks that we know of around here , But check whats going on in California and it is a different story many attack over the last 10 years . Mostly revolving around small children being bittem or in some cases trying to be dragged away. Certainly not trying to create something of danger around here just stating some facts. Just google Coyote attacks California and theres lots of interesting stories.

Great fish!! I have been fishing by irving and river alot this year and have come across odd folks. I carry a 12 inch knife on me I know it's illegal but I feel I need to be able to protect myself. I am 230 big guy and I get nervous out there by myself. If someone steals my wallet the jokes on them when they try to use my debit card

I have personally come face to face with yotes 2 times, once at busse, once at the dpr in the wheeling area. Both times they just dropped their head down and tail down and ran away trying to blend back into the forest. Even if so a yote came at me, one swift football punt of a kick will send em off for sure. I would much rather see a yote than a small buck anyday, bucks can get mean at times, or so im told (have never seen one w/o having a gun on me) and your not gonna stop them. I keep a 8 inch blade on me that i use mainly for cutting line and such, but more for the "just in case" i meet the way wrong crazy guy out in the middle of the woods outa range of help, and ive alrdy meet a couple that are almost in the category. Just be safe and be prepaired, and keep you eyes open and you will be just fine.
