DPR Pics Fall 08'

The Pike and Crappies are DPR, Bass is Local Lake. I lost the pic of my nice bass from DPR.

What kind of baits do you like to throw for those river pike :?:

Large roaches are my bait of choice, but they will take large crainkbaits also. Use a float and just let it flow down the river until the float goes under. Pretty basic stuff, just have to find the right spot.

This pike was about 30" but the average size at DPR (for me at least) is about 24".

The crappie took about a 5' roach. i guess he was hungry.

I've got a few "roach" ponds close to home too. They're fun and a surprise on an ice rod.

Thanks for sharing! I'm definitely going to give roaches a try when I go hunting for river pike this year.
