Well after 3 weekends in a row with pike Miro and I finally got the skunkola.

We headed to our usual pike infested spot, which last week we seemed to find an area where we thought they were spawning, but apparently we were wrong. Water was at least two feet higher that usual levels, which seemed to be the reason for the slow down. Last week was much lower and we managed 4 pike.

We fished with our regular live bait (roaches). And i threw a 3" swim bait about 100 times before putting it down.

Hopefully it wont rain so much next week and the water will go daon a little bit. Anyone know why the fish shut down when the river is high?
