Hey new to the dpr and was wondering if there are any accesible wading points for pike or smallies ? or if the river is even wade able this time of year, getting tired of the fox over here by algonquin

There are areas. Do your homework and search this site for your answers. Google maps helps too.

Wading anywhere in Cook Cty forest preserves is prohibited. Like Joe said, google maps is your best bet.

Look, you have to be realistic about these things. This is a public forum - if told you Miners st. (would not know, never been) there'd be 50 guys there by the afternoon, half of them - with buckets.

Use Google maps and have fun trying. Suggest start when water is low. There are areas of lake and cook county where it's silty and a difficult wade near shore. It's a matter of finding hard bottom areas. It's all trial and error
