Rollcast has my #3 listed. Time of year is key as well. #1 overall for me(just ask anyone who has ever fished with me) the magic flash jig heh, tipped with either a minnow or 2-4 inch grub and depending on water clarity a red bead or rattle too.
Tossin one of those bad boys is like ringing a smallmouth's dinner bell 8)
#2 would be a 6-8 inch lizard, more so in the spring than any other time of year tho.
I actually had an XRap and it lasted 3 casts before getting hung up. I just never got around to getting another one but will get several for the coming season.
Jason, if you watch the Dick's sales they quite often have all Rapalas on sale for 20% off. I picked up a couple of X-raps last week when they were on sale.
I don't have a favorite, I just use what works at that time, but if I had to choose I would say that it would have to be a light to medium jig with anything from a grub to a plastic minnow.
