What a day. Got out to the bass pro shop in Bowlingbrook with my buddy. He got a new tackle box. I picked up a pack of jerk baits that seemed very expensive. 9.00. The salesmen that helped me really convinced me to get them. Also got a KO Wobbler and a Little Cleo. After we hit up Maple Lake for 1hr. Got there there were people ice fishing everywhere. Went to a little cover about 40ft from shore and made a whole. Put down a wax worm and got one small bluegill within 5 min. For the other 55 min didn;t get a bite. Talked to some other anglers they said the bluegill i caught was the only fish they've seen all day. Went to Sagasanaskee and went there. There were may be five guys out. Talked to few of them saying every thing was biting on waxies at the bottom. And by everything I mean everything. When we first drilled in a corner of the lake we put down a waxie and got a small bass right away. Spent 2 hrs there and caught 3 small bass, 4 yellow bass, and 1 bluegill, and 1 crappie. Ice at both lakes was a solid 12inches. While i was there guy next to me caught a decent size northern pike.
