Fished maple lake east after i got out of school i had a half day. East is where the dock is. Wasnt expecting to catch anything there. So just started casting every lure in my tackle box. Casted a top water and something hit it. Looked like a small pike. It jumped slow though. I was shocked . Anyway put a storm shiner on and brought it through the weed. The weed are horrbile there they are everywhere. So i brought the shiner through and caught this guy

Was about 12 inches not that fat. First bass of the year.

I hear and have seen some big splashes out there at ML. I've also caught a few fish from there....sporatic fishing. Nice to see others having some success. Thanks for the report!
