I went over to the fox today after a visit to cabelas. I got a casting rod that breaks down into 4 pieces so I think Ill be using my motorcycle instead of my car finally. That place is still overpriced but their fishtank looks much better. Lots of huge bass, both small, and largemouth. And some MONSTER bluegills. Supposedly all the fish are caught by employees.
Well anyways, I went over to the elgin dam but it looked like it sucks unless youre a buckethead. Then I moved over to south elgin and parked by the police station. I walked down the riverbank and finally got my first smallie on a senko. I didnt even feel it bite and it didnt fight much either because it was a dink.
Then I went and lost money at craps just like my river visit last year. I should have bought a better rod or some waders, and skipped the casino, but I thought they would have texas holdem.

Do you need a foid card to rent a gun and shoot at the range? Ive been meaning to get one but I rolled a j on my application and figured I shouldnt send that one in.

No foid but this christmas I got myself the ultimate red ryder bb gun. Its a drozd full auto, to keep from freezing the co2 it fires .177caliber round lead balls at 500 fps in single, 3 shot burst, or 6 shot, at 600 rounds per minute.
The problem is that when I shoot it it sounds like a machine gun and I get yelled at in like 15 seconds by neighbors. Now im paranoid and I havent even shot it since january, anybody have some land and want to have some fun plinking?
