I played hookie with Jr. today and went to the WWD ( I think) I followed the directions given on a posting. I could'nt believe how clear the water is. Saw lots of fish but no takers. We just used artificial, I put everything I have in the water. Skunk city!! Any suggestions??

Yeah, go there when there is no other place to fish open water.

Seriously, this is not the time of year to fish there. Usually late November to early March is the best time to fish there.

Did you try the main dam about 100 yards up creek?

Or the pool 100 yards in the opposite direction?

While artificials can get fish at the WWD, live bait is really the way to go. And like doc says, time is quickly running out, if not already for good action there.

During spring, from the main dam and all the way through Salt Creek can be a good walleye time. Jigging around trees and other structure can produce some nice fish, especially during low light periods. Fuzzy Grubs tipped with a minnow (large fatheads) seem to be the go to bait.
