Should have stayed home I guess. But... it IS nice to get out after work and before the really cold weather comes.

Managed 1 little bass on a jig with my ultra-light.

East winds, temps around 60, cloudy, fished from 5pm-6pm.

By the way... I found the "saying"...

When the wind is in the north
The fisherman goes not forth;
When the wind is in the south
It blows the bait in the fish's mouth;
When the wind is in the east
The fish bite the least.
When the wind is in the west
The fish bite the best.

Jason,

I was looking at the unanswered posts and this one was one of the oldest ones so I thought I would make your day by posting about it. Not much to say about the fishing, but I love that saying. I usually base my fishing success for a day on that saying.

You're Very Welcome,
Matt

I grew up with just these 2

I do like the additions :mrgreen:

The real question is..is there any truth to it?

What if there no wind.....(Throw a top water and GRIN :wink: )....lol
