The water temperature was 75 degrees this morning. The water level has dropped at least another 6 inches in the last couple of days.
I am still hearing black and other dark colors for smallies. The Berkley Power Bait 3" Black Walleye Grub in particular.
For the channel cats, Junnies Cat Tracker Wicked Sticky stink bait is the favorite.

Rob Z from North Aurora says the small to mid size rapala's in silver & gold minnow are working very well too. He showed me a pic of an 18 he got this past week after work. They guy he was with had decent numbers(4 fish in 2 hours is good for herbie) on a roadrunner jig with twister tail, not sure what color he was using though. I plan on hittin the fox this coming week.
