Well... I went after some catfish this evening for about 3 hours. A friend and I went to the park between St. Charles and South Elgin (across from the quarry and south of blackhawk). After casting under some logs and brush, out in the middle, all along the shore line with some dough bait we ended up loosing three hooks and two weights.

:evil: ended up just practicing casting i suppose. Tomorrow i might go torwards Geneva with some chicken livers but am a little disheartened after two days of not catching anything... maybe i'll end up just going in a neighborhood pond and catching some largemouth to make me feel better.

If anybody has a nice (and easy) spot to fish off shore feel free to tell me :lol:

try by the dams. ive fished the one in batavia and st. charles. they both have plenty of shore access. all dams are good, those are just the two ive been to.

I fish under the I-90 Bridge. Good spot plenty of cats.

my neighbor would do well for flats on gills at geneva dam, this was before they changed the regs.
