The water temperature was 74º this morning. The river levels are finally back to normal ranges. The river is flowing at 1,070 cubic feet per second. http://waterdata.usgs.gov/il/nwis/uv?dd ... o=05551540 Be sure to watch your footing even if you know the area you are fishing in if you are going to wade. The high water changes the bottom of the river. Case in point, Batavia now has a new "island" just up stream from Clark Island. It's small but dry!

Fishing is also getting back to normal! The fish are reverting back to seasonal patterns. Black and white are productive colors in the twister tails. Minnow or bluegill imitators are working great, as well!

Good luck out there!
