Fox River Conditions 9-29-2006

The water temperature in the river was between 58º and 59º this morning, depending on the depth of the thermometer. The water levels are continuing to drop; it has dropped another 4" in the past 24 hours. There is some good news though, the clarity is definitely getting clearer, with visibilities in the 2' - 2 ½' range.

Medium Golden Roaches are still producing lots of smallies and walleyes. Large and Extra Large Fatheads are working well, too.

White is still the key color in any artificial lures you choose. We are also selling a lot of the Charlie Brewer Caterpillar Grubs for small mouth bass.

8) Good luck on your adventures this weekend!! 8)

Thanks for the great report. I'll have to get out there real soon.
This is trophy time on the fox. XXXL presentations and patience required(think musky baits for smallies and a 6 fish day being outstanding). Kinda like xmas for fisherman with the visions of 20 inch smallies dancing in their heads. You get to dress warm like it's winter too, can be fun with the proper perspective.
Thanks Fro the report Jason !!
