ok so im new to this site but def not new to fishing.. been a member of ultimatebass.com for a few years now as well.. im about 20min straight east of the st charles area.. so this year I decided to start trying out the fox river..

well went out a few times with no luck.. my cousin and I fished the boat launch just north of north ave and the east side next to the mini golf..

so far no luck at all.. my home lake that I usually fish is getting very weeded out and its put me in a slump this last week.. my cousin has been in a slump for about 3 years haha but hes trying so hard and I really want to get him on some fish.. preferrably bass cuz he has never caught one bigger then about 6 inches.. hes caught a lot of bgills, channle cats and carp..

basically My cousin my uncle and I are going out sat. evening for some fox river fun.. we fish from shore.. I have a list of the parking spots that are legal and what not but i gotta get my cousin on some fish or ill be fishing solo this summer as hes ready to give it up already..

as far as bait Im thinking minnows/nightcrawlers.. cant really fish them wrong but im wondering if anyone will share a sure fire spot close to the north ave area.. we have only gone at night the couple times this year so its hard to really see what the river looks like and where the dams are.. the map i have says theres a dam north of north ave but south of the elgin dam.. how do we get to it and should we fish the north or south side of the dam???

I want to get hooked on a carp or cat.. and my cousin is just looking for anything to bite his line haha.. any help would be great

Yo, D-Dub! I'd say it's been about a year since we had any drama around here. Then you come back and fit hits the shan. Coincidence? Hmmmm...
Somehow I get this visual image of Dr Evil, pinky hanging out of his mouth and all, talking about how jealous haters make Mr. Bigglesworth upset and when Mr B. gets upset....................

:p

Why does there have to be someone on every post like "Darth Wader" who thinks he is the greatest angler alive and never breaks the rules. Its the fox river!! I think it can handle a foreign blue gill without decimating the fish population. Nuff said
I'm not sure what's going on in Public education in the years since I've graduated but clearly they need to bring reading comprehension back into the curriculum!!
I think I've articulated quite clearly in EVERY post that I am the greatest angler alive or dead! And after I sweep next months Intergalactic Bass Master Classic on the Spiral Nebula of the Andromeda Galaxy I will claim title to "greatest Angler in the Universe!!!! Mwahahaa!

It takes a special kind of idiot to interpret my posts as anything other than a guy sharing his experience on the water.

You sir fall indisputably within that elite group.

For the sake of mankind...please don't breed.

If I'm not mistaken, Andromeda will still be in pre-spawn, so they may move the location. If I hear anything, I'll e-mail you.

Thats funny... I saw the title of the post and thought we were talking about fishing. I come back, read everything and realize that we have children on this site.

Times have changed, Kids dont have the respect we were raised on. Parents dont want to be parents!
I coach a T-ball team and there is a 7 year old on the team that plays Call of Duty Black Ops... are you kidding me?!?!? At the age of 7 playing COD???
Thats the problem with kids these days, parents let them run wild so the parent can go out and party!
