My general fishing GAS has been under control but I got an attack of ice fishing GAS. I decided a while back that Goby Jr. and I can't share flashers any longer (obviously he usually wins out in who gets it).
So today I saw a sudden price drop on Amazon on a Marcum LX-3 and pulled the trigger. On that note, Amazon is an increasingly good place to buy fishing gear. If you have prime you can often pick up some small things you need without paying for shipping and the prices fluctuate a lot but can be very good on bigger items; sometimes the prices can drop dramatically for just a day or two. Two days ago they had the Marcum VX-1 going for just 200 bucks but it is back up to 300 now.
Anyways, last year I bought a bunch of tip ups that I never used due to the very short/warm season. Beyond the flasher, I'll probably buy a rod storage case this year to keep my rigs better organized.
