Got on the water with my buddy Rich at about 5A. We started trolling but after 15 minutes of non-stop rock bass Nirvana, we changed it up. We casted for about 20 minutes before first light, and I finally managed a smallie on a chatterbait

We then moved to the deep breaks for smallies and had a good day. We tried 4 different spots, and caught multiple bass at each spot.

One of our first doubles of the day

I think we conservately caught around 20 fish, and we missed several as well. Many of the fish were in the 14-15'' range. As the season goes on and the water cools, the fish will get bigger

Nice job guys. Those are some AWESOME looking fish...

Is the weekend traffic and pleasure boaters dieing down yet?

I would say that it was at about 75% Saturday. With the cool morning though, it took awhile for the pleasure boaters to get out there. Almost all the boats were still moored as well. I expect those to start getting pulled very soon. Most of those guys have no interest being out there when the weather is in the 60's.
