Well first time out here in at least 4 years and not a bad day. Was about 68 degrees with overcast and drizzle on and off. I didnt remember how the lake was set up ie, cover, depth etc-which I couldnt believe how deep it was... I threw pretty much anything in my bag walking the shoreline on volleyball side, and got one bite on a yellow 4 inch top water rapala-saw the bass take it went to set and nothing.

I always bring worms with me(for a tough bite or go after catfish etc-) and decided to go to live bait and started casting the shoreline about 15 to 25 out. I was guessing and by using a slip bobber to gauge depth at where it started to break and change depths at that location- but probably wrong. Well after abit, got a pretty good bite and did not set it. Threw it back to the same spot and wham! As soon as it hit the water it went down and the fight was on. After amost 10 minute fight had myself one very nice size LMB....

I did not have a scale or tape so I will not try to guess. If anyone wants to help out by the picture please do I would love to hear. This is my biggest bass ever so no matter what size it was I am very pleased. One the funny side, I almost always have my camera but left it in the car today. So my buddy held it in the water to keep it healthy while I did a mad sprint around the lake to get the camera..... I need to jog more...
