Well I have used gulp alive at various locations, LaSalle, Lake Michigan, Busse, my honey hole and other locations I cannot think of right now. I have never caught a fish using this bate. I tried jigging, ripping it through, slowly working along the bottom just never had any luck. If anyone knows a good technique please let me know.

I have caught walleye using this bait before. Just rigged on a plain jig-head bounced off the bottom. I believe its the presentation more than anything. Walleyes do have a thing for smell though. It's almost like jigging a minnow head, but the gulp alive has action, colors that they can see and scent. I prefer it over live bait. But that's just my opinion. Certian lakes I have no confidense with Gulp Alive. I like the Shad scent. Would probably work well as busse if worked properly and patiently.

Sometimes Alive will catch fish deadsticking, but often you have to impart the action with the Gulp products. I prefer to just buy the regular Gulp in the packages because dealing with the tops of the Alive containers is nasty. I would recommend keeping it in a tupperware container and zip lock bag or eventually you will wind up with a mess and that stuff STINKS :p
