I'm curious to see how you use them on spinning gear. I've had some success using flies on spinning gear to target panfish. Mostly just with a split shot and sometimes bobber above the fly but I've also tried drop shotting. Not sure about a popper though. It might be better for him to make a weightier version for spinning/casting gear. They do look pretty.

Thanks Ken. That makes some sense. The small poppers could definitely be good in the creeks. Kind of reminds me of twitching the little rebel bug crank baits on the surface.
