any good suggestions for sharpening hooks or good tools out there

I think the file type sharpeners are probably the best if you can find one. You can also get a little honeing stone style for like 2 bucks at Dick's. Works okay for me.

I've been using an ez-lap diamond hook hone for several years now...I believe I got it at GAT guns in Dundee.
