after spooling up with some backing line, how much line do i need that I will use for casting lures for salmon on a spinning rod?

I hear 200 yard capacity is good. None of my fish have run that far yet though.

Same here I heard 200 yards but I havent one run on me that took 200 yards.

This 13# hen only ripped out about 100 yards of line out on 8# test
