Thats actually a lie. I hate the world we live in this week.
Nevertheless, certain tasks must be kept up with.
Bank fishing around town has seemingly become quite popular this week & frankly I have no desire to mingle, so went a more secluded stretch of canal this afternoon. Overall it was slow with few bites, but did catch a couple ok ones.
For the last couple weeks, a 1/4 black/blue swimjig with the ugly otter trailer has been fairly steady at getting bites. Thumps hard & feels more like a spinnerbait than a jig. When conditions are too "sludgey(?)", d.o.a.'s airhead swimbait tail-clipped & buzzed over the veg has gotten fair response.
Got another 1 of these, tonight. Always a treat
On a sadder note, the world lost 1 of its true characters this week, my aunt from northern WI, who I had spent 8 months with this past year, passed away this morning @ 82yrs old. Dont know many who truly enjoyed just sitting in a boat with a fishing pole in her hand as much as her. And, the reality of it is if she had her pink jigheads & a bucket of minnows, she was downright tough to beat! I tried on a few occasions to convert her to the fake stuff, but mostly she told me to get that sh*t away from her.
Auntie J,
-Ill never smell pine trees or fresh bread & not think of you,
-Im taking your rolling pin
-your pink jigheads are in the box
-gonna miss you a real lot. Save me a seat somewhere near you.
Love ya,
