Catching a lot of spawned out, skinny and limp pike lately. That's if I come across any, the bite is really slow, as is the norm for spring on the Des Plaines. The spinnerbait bite isn't there yet, slow cranks are still producing best. Any females you do catch are beat up and scarred. The kind of girls I would have called dibs on at a keg party when I was in highschool.

Going to leave the heavy stuff at home for the next couple outings and go for bass. Only had 1 bass outing this spring and it went well. I'll check back in with whatever results I get.

Looking for the small skinny pike Aux but all I'm seeing is some pretty damn nice ones. Cool pics too! We only caught two dinks Thursday, based on what you're saying I'm guessing the big girls are resting up and in 2 or 3 weeks I better upgrade to heavier leaders, lol.

Good stuff, I knew I should have been getting out earlier. Those two look pretty good though!
