How exactly do you use a boat to go ice fishing?

I saw it a couple times on Geneva late in the winter. You slide the boat out on the ice and have some rope in it in case you go through. The guys I saw were standing in the john boat augering holes along side it.

This was around that time where they probably had 10 ft between shore and the ice :shock:

I have a feeling that guy with the add is joking, v-bottom boats would suck for that.

I think they're been trying to sell that for awhile now. I remember seeing that ad earlier this summer. It's still funny!
