I past Axehead today and saw about 5 guys out ,Didnt stop and dont know if anyone is getting anything.

Yeah I saw the same thing! I was surprised to see that. Has anyone on this site ice fished any of the local FP lakes before?

THAT LAKE IS WAY TO DANGEROUS TO ICE FISH
VERY DEEP VERY FAST FISH YOUR OWN RISK :shock:

I actually talked to Chuck recently who is a CCFPD fishing regular. And this guy knows his stuff! Before last week, the last time I talked to him was on the ice at Axehead 2 years ago. He was doing quite well.

The biggest problem with ice on the FP lakes is the damned geese! But when there is a good freeze, success can be had!

One other note... Skokie Lagoons is COMPLETELY closed to ice fishing this year.
