The only thing I want to ask about that reel is, who picked the colors? :?: To me it looks ugly as hell, but hey that's just my opinion. :p   :)
That seems like to much for me, but I'm getting a G-Loomis Bronzeback rod and a fancy shimano spinning reel. That's gonna be a pretty penny.
You get what you pay for. I thought I had the perfect spinning reel in the Symetre, until I got a Stradic. There are a few more reels above the Stradic that are out of my price range. I would definitly get them if I was a 6 figure man :p
I wouldn't drop that kind of money on just a reel. A combo maybe, but not just for the reel. There are too many excellent reels out there that are 1/2 the price.
Ditto FishinMatt. I just got two Stradics (2008 models) and they work great.

I think the Shimano Stellas get up in price too.

I definitely agree with you doc on that one. :)
I had it but I didn't like it because it's ugly and didnt feel a difference from my other DC reels so I sold it. I like the round DC reels better.
This just came to my mind.....

This reel costs almost the same as the price I payed for my new boat .... or more like 3/4ths the price I paid for my boat that I'm re-doing and reconfiguring....

Also, I would like to reconsider my first statement on getting this reel even if I was bored and had no life::::

I think I would be a bit smarter because I hate Shimano at the moment and refuse to buy another product of theirs. :D

Hey Andrew, so how is your boat project coming along? :?: Can't wait to see it  when you're done. Good luck with it. :)
Ugly or not I WANT THE TDZ ITO reel and soon I will pay the price and have it :D and I will mount it on a glx loomis rod or maybe a Megabass destroyer III ROD and my combo will cost $900 and I will only fish with $20 or higher lures with it and spool it up with Sunline machinegun cast line.
I might be crazy but I wouldnt have it any other way :D
It is my hobby & relaxation and that is priceless ! I just cant get satisfaction with anything less :p

I cant even imagine fishing with a rod thats less then $150 or a reel thats less than $200 :p

Hey Culprit, remember that the first and most important step in rehab is admitting that you have a problem. Than the next step is seeing how your hobby has turned into an obsession , and finally how it has impacted your loved ones and the people around you.

Of course... I'm only joking, right? :?:  :D
I dont understand what problem ur referring to ?

If someone can spend $500 on a game console $60 a pop on games then y not on my hobby or obsession ?
I'm about 50% finished with it.

Completely re-did, re-painted, and re-wired the trailer....

I cleaned and gutted out the interior..... also re-finished the bench that's in the back of the boat which is where I'd be sitting.

Got the carpet all cut out and laid into the boat... It's too cold to glue it down at the moment.

That's all I've really done so far which has been a lot of work.... My next half of work will consist of adding onto this boat, so it should be even more fun... (serious)

Next week I'll be heading up north to my place in WI to do some brief ice fishing and to bring back the old boat so I can sell it.. I'll be stripping off the goods that I will need for this new boat (locators, trolling motor, seats), and then I will be selling the old boat with trailer and 10HP motor that needs some fixin'.... With the profit I make by selling the old boat, I'm hoping I have enough to buy a good Minn-Kota trolling motor... The one I'm eying will run between $600-700.

I've been taking a lot of pictures with all of my work progressions with this project but if I were to write up a story and then include a lot of specific and detailed photos, it would probably take me half a day to put it all together and to post it here.... So to those interested, visit this link here below to my site and you will see everything!!!

(start reading the links from bottom to up and you will see the work done in order)

I'll eventually post some photos of the final product here at WCF when I finish. :)

Wow  , sounds like a lot of work already. :) I know what you mean by saying it's going to be fun. :p That's what work should be like, it should be something that you enjoy doing so much that you don't even think about it as work. :D But in reality that's not how it is for most people. :( :x By the way do you work, or do you just go to school? :?: Peace! :)
