Whites are hitting on the Illinois.

Blade baits, jigs/plastic and minnows will catch them.

A good spot for shore fishing is near Starved Rock, you can fish from shore near any boulders.

Report was as far up as Marseilles, whites were chasing shad on the surface..

This should last for a little while longer.

Exactly where to fish.. by the boulders at Starve Rock. Just under the bridge is a good spot to fish from shore, if you hike it to where it's just sand on the other side of the bridge you'll have way less trouble with rocks in the water.

I have taken them on worms, but snags are everywhere. Mepps spinners work wonders.
